Now I can haz all your d20 |
Fish was given Honorary Member status last December having been hanging around our games for years. His usual contribution was to sit behind us purring loudly and occasionally meowing until someone gave him a scratch behind the ear....much like his owner, The Evil GM.
He was a venerable cat of over 20 years old, which in human years would have made him well past retirement age. The old fellow only had one eye - after an accident in his youth - but had recently become completely blind and deaf...which only made his meows louder.
RIP old buddy. Your presence at future games will be missed.
Commiserations. Doesn't matter how old you get, losing a pet is always a kick in the stomach. Sounds like he had a good life though!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss. People without pets don't often realise how big a part of your life they become. All the Best Clint
ReplyDeleteThat's always harsh. My sympathies.
ReplyDeleteI should make it clear Fish was not my cat, he 'belonged' to Pete (aka The Evil GM). As a gaming group we usually meet at my house but now and again we have convened at Pete's instead and Fish has always made an appearance at some point to rub round our legs or jump on a lap for a look-see.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be strange having our next game there without the sound of purring echoing around the room while we play.
Loss...a thing we need to learn to cope with.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences mate....
Sad news, Fish will be missed by us all.
ReplyDeletePoor moggy!!! Have fun in kitty heaven!
ReplyDelete20 yrs old..blimey..he a good run!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers
paul
My commiserations to all, clearly a well loved and sadly missed member of the family.
ReplyDeleteThats a rough throw of the dice, but like a few others have said, 20 years is fine innings. As an elderly cat owner myself (that's the cat thats elderly, not me. Not buying that huh?). Anyway, my condolences. Suggest a new piece of gaming terrain in his honour named "Fish Hill" should be wheeled out. Give him a proper gamers send off.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences on the loss of a feline companion. From his name and the picture you have posted of him, I can just imagine him sitting by a pond, up in kitty heaven, watching the gold fish swim round, wondering which one he'll make a grab for...
ReplyDeleteVery sorry for your loss. Be well.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of your loss. We lost our own cat 8 years ago, and I still miss her.
ReplyDeleteCondolences, I know how much our pets are part of our life and family...
ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear of his passing. Fish was a handsome moggy and it sounds like he was well loved.
ReplyDeleteA tribute piece of scenery/objective marker in fish's honour sounds like an excellent idea.
