Yet Another Big Weekend

Its been a busy working week and I'm feeling a little worn out to say the least. But I have yet another full-on weekend of activities to drain the very last drops of energy. If all goes to plan I'll be a wasted husk of my former self by Monday! So what am I up to?

Tonight the Dagenham Dungeon Delvers are gathering for our first game night in ages. Busy schedules, holidays and demanding jobs have whittled away at our free time relentlessly this summer. I'm not sure what we will be playing tonight - Possibly our D&D 4e campaign or maybe a board game of some kind - but whatever it is I for one won't be complaining. Its been ages since I have seen the guys and games nights are as much a social event as a gaming one.

Saturday I will be going to Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Rainham Essex for their annual Military & Flying Machines event. This show is only a few years old but it is growing in popularity and each year attracts more vehicles, re-enactors, veterans and aircraft to take part. There is always a family element to the event with plenty of variety to entertain the crowds. Fortunately this event is close to where I live so we don't have to travel far and get up too early to arrive on time. I have my fingers crossed for some good weather as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be doing a flyover in the afternoon.

On Sunday we will be heading up to Duxford as they have a Spitfires, Merlin & Motors event on over the weekend. Currently Duxford have confirmed 7 spitfires at the event, five of which will be taking part in a flying display in  the afternoon. There are also a host of other activities on this massive site as well as a Spy Workshop for the kids!

I must try to restrain myself with the photography but I know I will fail miserably, so expect to see plenty of pictures next week.

    1. Just got home and ut was pretty good. This show goes from strength to strength. The BOB flight did an excellent set piece over the site and there were more vehicles than previous years it think. I'll post some pictures soon!
