More goodies in the post!

Just a quick post to say a big thank you to Ian Willey of The Blog with No name for the totally unsolicited gift of some 6mm terrain. He said he was sending something to me but was very vague about what it was, so I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened my parcel and it didn't go bang! Seriously though, the models he sent me are excellent and will definitely find a place in my North Africa games.
Update: I forgot to mention these are made by Leven Miniatures although it looks like they are not  available yet (the website shows an August release date).

Fuel Dumps and sandbag emplacements will all find a place as objective markers and special terrain features.
And while I'm on the subject of painted models in the post I really ought to show you these beauties from James Brewerton at Exiles Wargames Painter. I mentioned them in Dispatches last week but hadn't taken a picture to show off just how good they were. So here's my prize from James' giveaway from a few weeks back.

These are going on display for now where I'll pretend to viewers that I have that level of skill!
I love getting stuff in the post (hint hint) so if you feel a desperate need to send me something just drop me a line!  ;-)

  1. Sounds like you are having a good day so far. I hope it continues this way. James FOW figures look very nice, well done on winning them.

  2. When you're rich you seem to get free stuff, as I've said before you're shameless!

    1. I liked them so much I've just placed an order for some more 6mm resin buildings from Leven Miniatures this morning. I'm planning on using the sandbags as 'dug in' markers instead of using tokens. I was thinking about making something like this from clay but these are so good, and so cheep, its easier to buy them.

  5. Nice freebies!

BTW, I posted a couple of comments on your give-away page that haven't appeared. Have they gone into your spam folder perchance? Thanks.

    1. He has so many comments that there is a second page. Not a problem most of us have but when you get a million hits...

    2. I did have a handful (two or three at the most) appear in my spam folder but I have marked them as 'not spam' and they have been reinstated, but the missing comments are probably just on the second or third page of comments as AHunt suggests. When you scroll down to the bottom of the list and just below the Comments box it says Load More which will bring up the next page and so on...

    3. I've added an update to the bottom of the Giveaway Post with these instructions as your not the only person to say their comments have gone astray.

    4. Okay cool. It may also have to do with the fact that at work, I'm on an old version of explorer (don't ask), so some of these options don't come up at all (in fact there are some blogs where i can't even leave comments).

      Thanks for the clarification.

  6. Glad you like them Lee, they paint up real quick and the fuel dumps just shout FoW objective markers for 6mm. He has some other pieces which look like supply dumps
