Five weeks into the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge and I'm please to report that my progress is bang on target. In fact I'm a little ahead of myself which is handy as I foresee a little bump in the road ahead (a non painting weekend away with the wife!) and will benefit from the points in hand.
Thus far I am outperforming previous Challenges, which isn't bad considering I am not taking part in all the bonus rounds this year. More importantly I'm on target to complete my Pyrrhic army, something that would probably have taken months without the Challenge to spur me on.
Onward and upwards!
Obviously you have far too much time on your hands wasting time making graphs, now get on with some bleedin' painting!
ReplyDeleteAu contraire sir. I've been working on this in my lunch break. Painting isn't an option lunchtimes but that doesn't stop me planning, scheming and recording my progress through the Challenge. A lot of valuable 'finkin' has taken place while updating this sheet.
ReplyDeleteThe finkin really can actually lead to higher productivity. Cheers
ReplyDeleteThat's what I tell the wife when she asks "when are you going to start that decorating?"
DeleteSpreadsheets and charts? I'm not sure that all this professionalism is quite the done thing Lee. We are meant to be gentlemen/gentlewomen amateurs, not players! ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a productive first 5 weeks of the Challenge! :)
It keep the insanity at bay...Back when I took part in AHPC IV I was able to get a lot of painting done during lunch breaks. I had an understanding boss, relative peace a quite and a portable painting kit...bliss. Not so easy nowadays so I'm using lunchtimes to get properly organised. Its paying dividends though because I'm pacing myself properly, and working in time to get projects done by set deadlines. And as already stated I know I have a week spare in case of emergencies and a couple of last minute projects if I have time.
DeleteIf only I put this much effort into my real job!
