6mm Roman Farmhouse

Since I have been painting 6mm Romans and Carthaginian's I haven't had much need to paint any buildings, most battles being fought out in open ground. However I came across this model from Timecast and decided it was too nice not to buy and paint up. Officially this model is listed as a Spanish Farmhouse but I have painted it as a modest Roman farmhouse that could probably be found anywhere in Roman controlled territory.

This isn't a Villa but its the sort of successful but modest farm building that in later years could be developed as part of a complex as the families fortunes improved.

  1. That is lovely. The Baggage Train do a very nice Roman Courtyard villa and a workshop/barn type building which would fit well if you're thinking of a more complex built up area.
